Course Description:

  • This course is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants/children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
    • Important concepts covered:
      • The Basic Life Support (BLS) survey
      • High-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
      • The PALS survey and algorithms
      • Effective resuscitation team dynamics
      • Immediate post-cardiac care

Requirements:

  1. PALS online exam should be completed prior to in-person PALS classroom/skills session. Your online link is sent in your confirmation email upon registration. 

Course Completion Card:

  • Upon successful completion, you will receive an AHA PALS course completion card valid for 2 years. 

 

Notice: In accordance with American Heart Association guidelines, a minimum of three students are required to hold this class. If we do not have at least three students registered we may need to cancel the class to remain compliant. Should this occur, we will notify you as soon as possible. 

THE NEW 2020 PALS PROVIDER MANUAL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE. AHA recommends that you purchase a new G2020 PALS student provider manual. There are several options when purchasing a new 2020 PALS provider manual, an E-Book or a traditional hard copy book. You can purchase these through Worldpoint at https://www.worldpoint.com/curriculum/2020-aha/2020-bls/ or AHA Shop CPR at https://shopcpr.heart.org/courses/bls?aha_product_type=97. We will offer the 2020 AHA ECC Handbook for Healthcare Providers SKU: 20-1100 which discusses the guidelines for 2020 BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

 
📍 Parking

We’re located in the large AIPA building near Honolulu Airport. There are several ways to access the building, so please watch our Directions Video before you arrive.

As a reminder, parking is available, but not validated. A QR code will be provided in the classroom. Be sure to note your stall number and license plate—you’ll need both to pay for parking.
